Yakima SkinnyWarrior Roof Rack Cargo Basket Review - 2022 Mazda CX-9- Video
Hey everybody, Cooper here at etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Yakima SkinnyWarrior on our 2022 Mazda CX-9. Now the SkinnyWarrior is a perfect opportunity to carry around maybe some of those larger items like skis or snowboards, or if you're picking up some dirtier items like mulch or fertilizer and you don't wanna keep that inside your car and potentially have it get dirty. Our basket is going to be made out of a durable steel construction, just meaning that any of the points here on the basket are gonna make good tie down points and we don't have to worry about any of it bending like we would if it was aluminum. That being said, we do have a black powder coat finish just to help the steel be very corrosion resistant. But if there does end up being any scratches or scuffs in any areas, that those areas are going to become pretty prone to that corrosion. more

Flint Hill Goods Roof Cargo Basket Review - 2022 Mazda CX-9- Video

Now, rooftop baskets like this have a couple of different uses. If you have your car full of people and need some additional storage for luggage and you can't fit it inside your vehicle, perfect opportunity would be to take it on top of your vehicle. Or maybe you're picking up some messy items from the hardware store like mulch or maybe fertilizer and you don't want them to break open in your car and get it all dirty. more

Curt Roof Cargo Basket Review - 2022 Mazda CX-9- Video
Hey everybody, Cooper here at etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Curt Roof Mounted Cargo Basket on our 2022 Mazda CX9. Now, a rooftop cargo basket like this is going to have a perfect opportunity to maybe carry around some of those larger items like skis or snowboards or some of those messier items, like mulch or fertilizer that you don't wanna necessarily dirty up the inside of your car. This one especially does have some tall walls, so I would say stuff like maybe luggage would be a little more secure in here, knowing that it is kind of sitting further down, recessed into the basket. Our basket is going to take up a majority of our 50-inch crossbar spread, but I think that's more than perfectly acceptable for something like this. Usually the purpose of it is to max out the available space on top of your roof to carry around some additional items. more

Andy here with etrailer.com, and today, we're going to take a look at the etrailer medium roof basket on our 2020 Mazda CX-5.Now, a roof basket is going to be a great choice if you happen to have a lot of gear or equipment, whether you're going on a camping trip, you're going to and from the beach, dirty items. Even having longer items and you don't want to put them inside your vehicle. Going this route is going to be a great option.One thing that's nice about the etrailer cargo basket is going to be the steel construction and the finish that is on it. It's going to hold up to some of those items that are a little bit bigger or clunkier. Also, having multiple tie-down points that you can see throughout keeps that cargo nice and secure. more

Yakima Roof Basket Review - 2018 Mazda CX-9- Video
Today on our 2018 Mazda CX9, we're gonna be doing a test fit on the Yakima off-grid rooftop cargo basket, which is part number Y07138. This basket is a great accessory to have on your vehicle. It allows you to get any type of cargo, sports and recreational gear, luggage, anything to that nature out of your vehicle. Make some more room in there for your family and get it on your roof. It's an open basket, so it is going to be exposed to the elements. So you'll want to make sure you're cautious of what you put up there if you happen to be driving in the rain, or if you have anything that is heat sensitive and the sun's beating down on it, you'll want to be wary of that as well.It has a faring on the front that is gonna help cut down on wind noise and drag. more

Rola Roof Basket Review - 2018 Mazda CX-9- Video
Today on our 2018 Mazda CX-9, we're going to be doing a test fit on the Rola Atlas Roof Cargo Basket, which is part number 59043.This roof rack is a great accessory to have for your vehicle. It's going to allow you to get any cargo, luggage, other sports and recreational gear out of your vehicle and store it on your roof so you have more space in your vehicle. It mounts to the roof rack of your vehicle. It'll work with most of your after-market roof racks, whether you've got the aero bars like we have on this one, or if you have elliptical bars, round bars, or even square bars, it'll work with those as well. It's also going to work with most of your after-market .. most of your factory roof racks as well.If we zip up there and take a look at the inside, we're going to see that it's an open basket design. more

Thule Roof Basket Review - 2011 Mazda Tribute- Video
Today on our 2011 Mazda Tribute we're doing a test fit of the Thule Canyon XT Roof-Mounted Cargo Basket, that part number is: TH859XT. Now we all ready have this secured up most of the way. It's going to be 49 inches long by 40 inches wide by six inches deep and have a 150 pound weight capacity, though you do want double check your vehicles owner's manual to make sure it can withstand that much weight. We all ready got three of our four feet secured down and mounted. We've got our spacer here that's going to act as a bracket and a place for everything to sit on top of our bar. To adjust that, we loosen these two bolts here and we can tighten those down once it's in place. We'll take our U bolt, place that underneath. more

Today on our 2011 Mazda Tribute we're doing a test fit of the Curt Roof-Mounted Cargo Basket. That part number is C18115. Now this is 41 1/2 inches long by 37 inches wide by four inches deep. It does have a 150-pound weight capacity, but you do want to check your vehicle's owner's manual to make sure it can withstand that much weight. Now we already have three of our four mounts secured down in place. We've got our fourth spacer here. more

Today on our 2012 Mazda 3, we're doing a test fit of the Rhino rack roof-matic cargo basket. That part number is RMCB. This is 47 inches long by 35 inches wide and has 165 pound weight capacity. You do want to check your vehicles owners manual to make sure your roof can with stand that much weight, you'll go with the lesser of the two. We already have 3 of our 4 mounts secured down. To start off we've put our plastic bracket in between our carrier and our crossbar. more

Thule Roof Cargo Carrier Review - 2015 Mazda 5- Video
Today on our 2015 Mazda 5, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Thule Canyon Rooftop mounted cargo basket. This cargo basket's going to be part number TH859, measuring 49 inches in length, 40 inches wide and it's going to have a depth of 6 inches. With it's study steel construction, it's also going to offer a 150 pound weight capacity. As you can see, we've already two of our feet in place up front, on our front crossbar as well as one in the rear on the driver's side. This will fit most all of your roof rack systems, whether it's going to be your factory roof rack system, your elliptical, your aero, round, or square, or any other kind of crossbar that you may have, it will most likely fit with it's different adapters and pieces to the kit. One thing you will need to do before you get it up and this is going to be a little helpful hint or tip is going to be to adjust your feet, these metal feet using the two allen bolts there. You're going to adjust those tot he center of your crossbar spread. Say if you have a 32 inch crossbar spread, you're going to adjust the circles here, measure them 32 inches apart and then tighten them down. more

Yakima LoadWarrior Roof Cargo Basket Review - 2013 Mazda 5- Video
Today on our 2013 Mazda 5, were going to be test fitting the Yakima LoadWarrior, a roof rack cargo basket, part number Y07070. With our Yakima controlled towers roof rack system already installed on our 5, well begin our test fit by placing our cargo basket directly onto our crossbars. Well separate the T-bolt from the lower portion of all four of our clamps. Well then position the basket to the upper portion of our clamps or sit it on top of our crossbar. Well then swing the lower portion of our clamp around the underside of our crossbars, reinsert the T-bolt into the clamp and tighten down both wing nuts to secure it. Well then make our way around to the three remaining clamps and repeat that same tightening process. With all four of our clamps tight and our basket is secure, were ready to load it up with some cargo, then we can hit the road. more

Yakima LoadWarrior Roof Cargo Basket Review - 2013 Mazda 3- Video
Today on our 2013, Mazda3. We'll be test fitting the Yakuma Load Warrior. A roof rack cargo basket, part number Y07070. With our Yakuma control tower Roof rack already assembled on our vehicle, we'll begin our test fit by placing our cargo basket directly under the load bars. We don't want to lose in the cylinder knot, and allow the T bolt to come out of the slot. This will free our clamps to bring them around our bars. Once we have all of our clamps surround our bars, we would want to reinsert the bulb into the appropriate side, and tighten down the cylinder knot. more

Thule MOAB Roof Top Cargo Basket Review - 2013 Mazda 3- Video
Today on our 2013 Mazda 3 we'll be test fitting the Thule Moab Roof Top Cargo Carrier, The Mother of All Baskets, part number th690xt. To begin our test fit we'll place our carrier directly on top of our load bars. Once we have it centered with our vehicle we can then bring our clamps around each load bar, feed the bolt through the clamp and tighten with a wing nut.We'll repeat the same process for the other three clamps to finish securing our carrier to our roof rack. Once we have everything tightened down and secured we can install our covers for each clamping station. Now that our carrier is installed we're ready to start loading up some accessories. That completes today's test fit of the Thule Moab Roof Top Cargo Carrier, part number th690xt on our 2013 Mazda 3.. more

Thule MOAB Roof Top Cargo Basket Review - 2006 Mazda 5- Video
Today on this 2006 Mazda 5 were going to do a test fit of the Thule Moab roof top cargo carrier part #: th690. Now our Mazda has already been equipped with a roof rack system using Thules square load bars. So basically all we got to do is take our cargo basket and place it on the rack and go ahead and attach the hardware. Alright, next well go ahead and take a second to make sure that the cargo basket is centered on the rack the way we want it. Now also, you can move it to one side if you want to put something next to the cargo basket such as a bicycle rack as well. The hardware is basically a clamp that goes around the bar, so well loosen it up, swing it around and reattach the hardware. more

Thule MOAB Roof Top Cargo Basket Review - 2012 Mazda CX-7- Video
Install-thule-moab-2012-mazda-cx7-th690 Today on our 2012 Mazda-cx7 we will be test fitting the Moab Cargo Carrier part number TH690. With our cx7 pre-fitted with the Thule Aerobars and our Moab already preassembled were ready to fit it to the vehicle. What were going to do is to set the cargo carrier on top of the vehicle, center it from left to right and then well tighten down the clamps. With pour clamps tight, were going to go ahead and install the hardware cover which will complete our installation. With our covers over the hardware, our cargo carrier is now ready to be loaded. And that completes our test fit for the Thule Moab cargo carrier part number TH690 on our 2012 Mazda cx7.. more
